Bhagavad Gita Summer Book Study

Join Carla Palmer, LUT in reading and discussing Eknath Easwaran's translation of the Bhagavad Gita. 10 am or 6:30 pm classes.

Even if you have read the Bhagavad Gita several times, reading it together with friends is a true joy of living in the flow or Life. Written thousands of years before the Bible, and thought to be an essential scripture (similar in comparison with the Sermon on the Mount), the Gita lays out the choices one can make on a holy path to enlightenment. It is written that the great Mahatma, Mohandas Gandhi, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. read from both the Sermon on the Mount and the Bhagavad Gita on a daily basis as part of their spiritual practice.

With Carla Palmer’s guiding insights from her years of working with and teaching this sacred text, book group members will be able to apply spiritual insights from the Gita to their own life flow. Join us for a summer of Love, Action, and Oneness as we explore from within this ancient teaching.

We will read the Eknath Easwaran translation of the Bhagavad Gita for our summer spiritual book club. Books may be purchased at the Higher Shelf. Love offering.
